Electrical Estimator - Nelson
We have an excellent opportunity for a suitably experienced Electrical Estimator based in our Nelson Office. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the preparation of accurate and competitive estimates for a variety of industrial electrical projects.
This is a permanent full-time position on offer with the expectation of long-term commitment. Applications will be treated in the strictest of confidence. On offer is a competitive remuneration package that is negotiable dependent on experience.
Key Responsibilities

Analyse electrical drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labour estimates.

Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to understand project requirements and specifications.

Develop detailed and itemised estimates, including materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractor costs.

Participate in bid proposal preparations and presentations to clients.

Monitor and update estimates based on project changes and revisions.

Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
About You
This role will suit someone who has previous experience as an Estimator ideally in the industrial electrical sector, or a very keen interest to grow in this space. Applicants with estimating experience in a similar industry will also be considered for this role.

Requirements

Full NZ driver’s licence

Excellent analytical and mathematical skills

Previous experience as an Estimator or a very keen interest to grow in this space

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and specifications

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

A willingness to work overtime as required
